For several years I have been photographing the spontaneous habits and interactions of my family, friends, and
acquaintances, and the everyday objects that surround their lives. I am intrigued by the implied language and
intimate meaning of their gestures, the tension between action and response, and the depth of expression contained
in the simplest of situations. Daily life is full of these moments, beautifully nuanced, gracefully executed. Looking
closely brings me into direct contact with other environments, heightening my experience, allowing me to comment
on the inherent richness of day-to-day existence, and the intimacy present in every interaction.
