Tantrum (1) - Day 154
Susan and I exercise on alternate days. This summer, I swam at Riverbank State Park and she ran in Central Park. Now, the pool is closed so I walk quickly. Most mornings Theodore says, "Have a nice swim, Poppa," but today, for some reason, when I kissed him goodbye, he had a fit, crying, carrying on, and refusing to let me go. As Susan tried to comfort him she said, "Go! We'll be fine."
I left with a slightly heavy heart, toeing the line between guilt, confusion, and the sense of freedom that exercise brings to my entire day.
Upon my return, Theodore was in better spirits. After breakfast he happily posed for me.
